Internships

All students will have the chance to get hands-on experience outside of the classroom through our internship program. There are classes to help you develop your professional skills and identify internship opportunities.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to spend weeks in a professional heath care setting, developing skills and building relationships with others in the field.

Your internship is a valuable component to your Health Policy and Administration program. We can help you identify and apply to the ideal internship opportunity with our strong alumni network and professional connections in the industry. Plus, you will have the power of Penn State’s large worldwide alumni network.

Study Abroad

If you are interested in adding a global view to your education, the Health Policy and Administration program offers multiple study abroad opportunities. You may choose from semester-long experiences in Europe and the Caribbean, and South America. There are also shorter trips available to Costa Rica.

Immerse yourself in an international culture while learning about public health issues in various locations such as the United Kingdom, Chile, and Jamaica. Become an international traveler and tour the world with other Penn Staters as you explore and work to understand Health Policy and Administration from a global perspective.
