My research interests lie in health insurance, strategic planning, long term care settings and the study of health care systems in developing nations in comparison with that of the developed world.
I graduated in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from SSN College of engineering (Anna University, Chennai). The course content gave me an ample scope to understand and delve into a complete range of problems that health professionals are trying to deal with. I was awarded scholarship for two consecutive years during my undergraduate tenure.
I authored a research paper and presented it at the 6th World Congress on Biomechanics, held in Singapore, where I had the opportunity to interact with some of the leading experts in the health care field. This further enhanced and confirmed my growing interest in the health care domain.
Since field experience is a valuable learning tool especially in administration, I searched for opportunities that would expand my horizons in the health field. In this quest, after graduating, I joined Beroe Inc., a market research and procurement intelligence firm. Here, I learned to execute the real time implementation of the principles of management. I joined the company as a Research Analyst of the healthcare team in May 2011 and was later promoted as the Senior Research Analyst in May 2012.
