September 11, 2009

Sustainability in the classroom and the curriculum will be the focus of an upcoming conference, held October 5-6, 2009, at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on the University Park campus. The conference, titled “Educating for Sustainability,” will energize faculty, staff, students, and administrators, thereby broadening Penn State's capacity to address significant challenges related to energy and the environment.

This fourth Schreyer National Conference is being convened by the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence, the Schreyer Honors College, the Center for Sustainability at Penn State, and the Rock Ethics Institute.

The College of Health and Human Development will be co-sponsoring the event.
