While every student at Penn State is responsible for understanding and successfully completing all graduation requirements, you’re not alone. One of the most important partnerships you will experience during your undergraduate career is with your academic adviser.
Academic advisers provide guidance and support with:
- Course selection and planning for success
- Answering questions about University, college, major, general education requirements, and policies
- Information on opportunities relevant to your interests and goals, including education abroad, internships, organizations/clubs, and research
- Referrals to other campus services/offices
All undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Health and Human Development (HHD), both pre-majors and declared majors, are assigned an academic adviser.
HHD students can find the name and contact information for their assigned adviser in LionPATH: Main Menu > Self Service > Student Center – then look for the “Advisor” box
