February 1, 2017

Summer 2017 registration begins Feb. 1-3. The schedule of summer courses is currently available in LionPATH (remember to pick the correct term when searching for courses).

If you would like to register for a summer course, you must complete the Pre-Registration Activity Guide – Summer 2017 to release the Financial Responsibility Agreement hold. You will need to complete this activity again for Fall 2017 registration, which will begin mid-March.

You can find a link to complete the activity in the To Do List on the right side of the Student Center area in LionPATH.

Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (update from the Office of Student Aid):

The Office of Student Aid will no longer evaluate a student’s Satisfactory Academic Progress at the end of each payment period. Please note the following...

  1. Financial aid recipients are expected to make reasonable progress for a degree to remain eligible for financial aid. The University defines reasonable progress in the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy.
  2. SAP evaluations will occur at the end of the spring semester (starting with the spring 2017 semester) and again at the end of summer for students enrolled in summer courses.
  3. Since students will be evaluated for SAP eligibility annually, students not meeting the SAP standards will not receive a warning semester. Students who do not meet the SAP standards will be immediately ineligible for financial aid.
  4. The updated policy includes all criteria previously established, and now requires students pursuing a degree in the College of Health and Human Development to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA standard as defined:
  • Undergraduate student: 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • Graduate student: 3.0 cumulative GPA

IMPORTANT: The GPA standard will go into effect after the spring 2017 semester. This means that a student who is entering the fall 2016 semester with a cumulative GPA below 2.0 will have the fall 2016 semester and the spring 2017 semester to bring their cumulative GPA to a 2.0.
