Engaging You Outside of the Classroom
You will not come to the College of Health and Human Development to simply sit at a desk. You will have the chance to apply your education through study abroad, research with faculty, internships, and more. Whether it is taking part in a research project in California, visiting the headquarters of a New York City industry leader to get insight, or an international study abroad course in Fiji, you will have the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom.
There are more than a dozen faculty-led study abroad programs through the College of Health and Human Development. These include opportunities in the departments of Biobehavioral Health; Health Policy and Administration; Human Development and Family Studies; Kinesiology; Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management, and the School of Hospitality Management. These opportunities can take you around the world to places such as South Africa, Costa Rica, England, Italy, China, Fiji, Australia, Japan, France, Chile, Spain, and many more.
And that is just through the college. Penn State also offers numerous other study abroad courses.
Global Penn State
For those with an international aspect of their Penn State experience (whether international students who plan to come to Penn State or U.S. students who wish to travel internationally), there is a full support network through Global Penn State.
