Policy and Safety Updates Related to Teaching for Fall 2020

Masking and social distancing classroom policies in effect for fall

To help create a safer learning, living and working environment for all students, faculty and staff, new Classroom and Syllabus Guidelines for Instructors Related to COVID-19 will be in effect this fall across Penn State’s campuses in alignment with public health recommendations and Gov. Tom Wolf’s requirements for higher education institutions. These guidelines are now available from Student Affairs. The guidelines include syllabus statements on classroom behavioral requirements and steps to be taken during a particular class should students fail to adhere to the requirements. Instructors are urged to recheck this site in the weeks leading up to fall as guidelines may evolve over time.

OPP will supply hand sanitizers for instructional areas managed by the University and other common areas for instructional activity and support on campuses. In addition, read their Updated Cleaning and Disinfecting Procedures in Response to Coronavirus (PDF).
