Ashley first launched her career with the Gaylord Hotels as an intern in Kissimmee, Florida at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center. After a 10-year stint in event-related positions, she moved into her current role, the Director of Operational Excellence + Innovation. This is an executive committee level position that analyzes the voice of the customer and operational productivity. In 2019 Marriott appointed her to the Emerging Leadership Program, a career development program for high-performing leaders. She is the recipient of numerous distinctions, including Marriott Colorado Business Council’s Excellence MVP and Gaylord Rockies’s Trailblazer Award of Integrity.

Ashley received her B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from Penn State University and now serves as President for Penn State Hotel & Restaurant Society (PSHRS), an alumni organization founded with the purpose of supporting student industry involvement, providing scholarships, and enhancing the reputation of the Hospitality Management program. She has been active in Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), volunteering 7 years on committees and 3 years in committee chair positions. In 2014, Ashley was awarded PCMA 20 in Their Twenties and PSHRS’ Emerging Leader awards. She has been a Certified Meeting Professional since 2012.
