Research Expertise
Involved in a wide range of research projects that push the boundaries of knowledge in our field, Penn State’s Communication Science and Disorders Department has developed broad expertise in communication disabilities, developmental disabilities, speech production, alternative communication, language development, visual support, neurophysiological aspects of communication — and so much more.
Both undergraduate and graduate students can work with faculty to gain experience interacting with participants, using research-related equipment and processes, collecting data, conducting data analyses, and presenting and publishing their findings.
