The honors adviser in the Department of Kinesiology are Dr. Mary Jane De Souza and Dr. Jaime Schultz. They serve as the academic adviser to those Schreyer Honors Scholars who are Kinesiology and Athletic Training majors, and reads and approves the honors theses written by scholars seeking honors in Kinesiology, whether or not they are Kinesiology or Athletic Training majors. They are also the primary point of contact for Kinesiology and Athletic Training majors who are interested in entering the Schreyer Honors College as sophomores or juniors through the Gateway admissions process (students typically apply during the spring semester).

The Department of Kinesiology annually sponsors an Honors Scholars Research Exposition, which is held on the last day of classes in the spring semester. At this event, graduating seniors present their completed thesis research and juniors present their proposed research in poster form.
