Jessica Weinberg Neiss '99-Focus in Physical Therapy

From Penn State Kinesiology Graduate to Parkinson’s Specialist and Wellness Practice Owner

Jessica Weinberg Neiss

Jessica Weinberg Neiss is the owner of To Life! Therapy & Wellness, where she practices as a physical therapist and Parkinson’s specialist. She holds multiple certifications, including Modern Management of the Older Adult, PWR! Therapist, and LSVT BIG, and serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Pittsburgh. Jessica earned her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2002.

Jessica's years at Penn State were foundational in shaping her career and personal life. She entered the Kinesiology program with a passion for movement science and a desire to explore different healthcare paths before deciding to pursue physical therapy. “Kinesiology gave me the flexibility to explore and the foundation I needed in movement and physiology,” she recalls. As an undergraduate, Jessica worked in several research labs, including one focused on the effects of long-term space travel on the body, and another in biomechanics—experiences that helped bridge classroom knowledge with real-world science.

Outside the classroom, Jessica was deeply involved in campus life. She played clarinet in the Penn State Marching Blue Band and proudly performed on the field at Beaver Stadium. “One of my favorite memories is playing in the band as the football team ran through the tunnel and the entire student body cheered,” she says.

Her connection to Penn State runs even deeper—Jessica met her husband during her freshman year in Simmons Dining Hall, and the couple now returns often with their children to share the magic of Happy Valley. In fact, her daughter’s middle name, Simone, is a tribute to the dorm where it all began.
