  • How do I schedule an appointment with an adviser?

    For current high school students or prospective transfer students. Please call the Kinesiology Advising Center at 814-863-4493. If possible, please allow a one to two week notice for appointment requests. 

  • What career can be pursued with a Kinesiology degree?

    Kinesiology students have many career options after graduation.  Please peruse the links at /kines/undergraduate/career for more information regarding possible career paths and Penn State courses.

  • Is there any information available for opportunities to visit the campus?

    Penn State offers campus tours and special events for prospective students throughout the year.  Please click on the links below to view the dates available.

  • When do I schedule my first semester of courses?

    New incoming Freshmen are required to attend New Student Orientation.  At that time you will have an opportunity to meet with an Academic Advisor to make your first semester’s schedule.  

  • I have taken Advanced Placement credits before applying to college, will I be able to apply these credits toward Penn State credits?

    Some of the AP credit courses may be able to be applied towards Penn State credits.  Please review the AP Credit list to see if any of the courses you have taken may be accepted.

  • Are there any types of student aid available to help with tuition and costs?

    Certain criteria requirements must be met to receive and retain student financial aid.  Please review the information on the different types of aid available and review the instructions at http://studentaid.psu.edu/types-of-aid.

    Funds are awarded on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, school/community activities, leadership positions, and/or work experience. The Department of Kinesiology offers scholarships/awards for undergraduates and in some cases require enrollment in a specific option.
