The Center for Fitness and Wellness (CFW) provides health and fitness assessments, body fat analysis, blood lipid and glucose panels, and wellness education for Penn State students.
The CFW also provides instructional support for select activity-based courses offered by the Department of Kinesiology. Students enrolled in KINES 61, KINES 65, KINES 67, KINES 72, KINES 84, KINES 93 (cycling), and KINES 201 obtain health and fitness testing as part of the requirements for the course.
Additionally, The Center offers an avenue by which upper-level Kinesiology majors may conduct internships to gain clinical experience in health and fitness testing for future careers in exercise science and allied health. Email Melissa Rodgers at msb221@psu.edu if interested in pursuing a CFW internship.
Health and fitness testing is also available to Penn State employees and the general public populations.
For more information, please stop by the CFW in Room 020 Intramural Building (The Wellness Suite), call 814-865-4488, or email the CFW staff at fitandwell@psu.edu.
