Stephen Kodish

Principal Investigator

Stephen Kodish is the principal investigator of the International Health and Nutrition Equity Lab and associate professor of biobehavioral health and nutritional sciences. He is an applied social and behavioral scientist who was trained in International Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (doctoral studies) and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (post-doctoral training) prior to joining the faculty at Penn State in 2018.

Kodish has worked professionally for 15 years as both a consultant and principal investigator aiming to improve maternal, infant, and young child health and nutrition in support of low- and middle-income countries aiming to meet SDG#2: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and sustainable agriculture. He has done so in support of the World Food Program, UNICEF, International Fund for Agricultural Development, The World Bank, Epicentre, International Rescue Committee, and Sight & Life Foundation, among others, across more than 25 different Asian, African, Latin American, and Middle Eastern country contexts.
