Ligia Reyes

Principal Investigator

Ligia I. Reyes is an assistant professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences, co-funded by the Social Science Research Institute (SSRI). She is an interdisciplinary scientist and the founder and director of the newly established Nourishing Networks and Environments to Thrive (NourishNET) Lab. She completed postdoctoral training at Cornell University (Community Nutrition) and the University of South Carolina (Health Behavior in Public Health). Academically, she trained at the University of South Carolina (PhD), the University of Michigan (MPH), and UCLA (BA).

In my current role in the NourishNET Lab, I support research on early childhood nutrition, the influence of social networks on dietary behavior, and the development of community-based health communication strategies.
