Minor in Sports Nutrition
The minor in Nutrition Studies is for students in majors related to human performance science who want a foundation that will support performance through nutrition in physically focused professions, including first responders, military personnel, athletic training, coaching, and sports dietetics.
Students will learn how to develop nutrition recommendations to guide athletes and others to improve their health and performance.
Requirements
Students are required to take five 3-credit courses and can use the remaining 3 credits to choose a class that fits their academic goals.
Some courses are only offered in the fall or spring semesters. For information on when courses are offered, see Penn State's Schedule of Courses.
Please see the Penn State Minor Policy for additional considerations regarding minors at Penn State.
