Melissa Lennox, a recent graduate of the RPTM (Therapeutic Recreation) was honored as the 2010 Student Honor Award for the Pa. Therapeutic Recreation Society last evening in Hershey.

Melissa is a Schreyer's Honor grad who recently completed her internship at St. Joseph's in Scranton, working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. Melissa was actively involved at PSU while balancing the rigors of the honors program including RPTM Student Society Community Chair for 2 years; founding member and Past President of the RPTM Therapeutic Recreation Society; Coordinator for PSU Life LINK Late Night and THON to name just a few.

The PA Therapeutic Recreation Society selects their Student Honor Award recipient from nominations submitted for students at all of the universities in PA that offer the TR major; Temple, Slippery Rock, East Stroudsburg, Lock Haven and York College.
