Serve on the Academic Standards Committee

The HHD Associate Dean's Office is seeking undergraduate volunteers to serve on the Academic Standards Committee (ASC). Students on the ASC serve as panel members for hearings in academic integrity cases, grade disputes, and other class-related situations requiring mediation between faculty and students.  At least one representative from each academic department is needed. Send an email indicating your interest to Ms. Heather Zimmerman with a copy to Associate Dean Shea.

New Health Professional Fraternity

Phi Epsilon Kappa (PEK) is a professional fraternity open to students pursuing careers in health. The organization aims to provide students with opportunities for professional development and service hours, while providing lasting friendships with students on similar career paths.

Center for Gender and Sexual Diversity Discussion Groups

These groups are Closed Groups (you must identify with the group topic to attend). Discussion groups are only open to enrolled Penn State students. Groups do not meet on official University holidays.

  • Aces (asexual and aromantic): Wednesdays 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
  • Beyond the Binary (gender identity) Wednesdays 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
  • BiLions (bisexual, pansexual, fluid) Tuesdays 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
  • Color Me Queer (students of color) Thursdays 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Happy Valley LaunchBox powered by PNC Bank is taking their June Idea TestLab accelerator program online. Now dubbed the Virtual Idea TestLab, the four-week program kicks-off June 2 and is designed to help teams evaluate the viability of their business ideas by coaching them through a proven method of customer discovery and problem analysis.
