Learn about Penn State and the College of Health and Human Development

The first few days and weeks being on campus can be overwhelming and we want to help you learn about campus and some of the resources available to you. Attend as many of the following events or participate in the activities to earn an official Passport stamp.

Get your Passport at the Academic College Welcome Meeting on June 27th and get ready to take flight!

Prizes:

Earn 12 stamps to win a $50 prize (echo dot, coffee maker, instant camera, etc.)
Earn 8-10 stamps to win a $25 prize (bluetooth speaker, hydroflask, fan, backpack, etc.)
Earn 4-7 stamps to win a $10 prize. (planner, charging cords, room organizers, water bottle, etc.)

Obtaining stamps: For every designated Passport location or event, you will receive a stamp to place on your Passport. Some stamps can be acquired through accomplishing tasks and are not time specific while others require your attendance at a specific date, time, and location.

Lost Passport: If you lose your Passport, a new one may be obtained in 4 Henderson; however, stamps are non-transferrable.

Deadline: Turn in your Passport to Assistant Dean, Megan Owens in 4 Henderson by Thursday, August 11, 2023.

Cookie Fest on the Patio	June 27th 2:00-3:00 p.m.	Biobehavioral Health Patio	After the HHD Academic College Welcome Meeting grab some cookies and chat with your advisers, faculty, and staff of HHD! This is a chance to ask questions about classes and advising, navigating campus, and how to get involved.
Chat with an adviser or faculty member at cookie fest.	June 27th 2:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m.	Biobehavioral Health Patio

Donuts with the Assistant Dean	July 6th 9:00 a.m.-noon	4 Henderson Building	Drop by for a donut and chat with the Assistant Dean and other special guests.
Career Exploration: True Colors	July 11th 4:00 p.m.	18 Henderson Building	Take the True Colors assessment and how your personality may impact your career decisions.
Time Management and Study Skills	July 18th 4:00 p.m.	18 Henderson Building	Learn more about what Penn State Learning offers and participate in a fun activity to learn more about time management in college.
What Can I Do with this Major?	July 20th 4:00 p.m.	18 Henderson Building	Join Career Services to learn more about what you can do with your intended major!
Attend a Study Smarter Workshop	Certain dates and times (see link)	Virtual	SU23 Penn State Learning Study Smarter Workshops \| Penn State Learning (psu.edu) July 19 and July 25th
HHD at the Spikes	July 25th 6:35p.m.	Medlar Field	Get a free ticket watching the State College Spikes! If you can't make this date, attend any Spikes game and turn in your ticket stub for a Passport sticker!
Ice Cream Social	August 9th 5:00 p.m.	Front steps of Henderson Building	Grab a cup of ice cream and mingle with your classmates for a final goodbye and celebrate the end of summer classes!
