Three students practice administering CPR to a medical manikin.

The Athletic Training Simulation Learning Laboratory utilizes SimCaputre technology for healthcare simulation and education. Each room has multiple cameras, microphones, and speakers allowing for viewing and recording of each simulation. Students, faculty, and preceptors can review and give critique through independent or formal group debriefing sessions via a web-based interface. SimCapture also allows annotations, patient monitors, and simulator data to be embedded in the shared recordings.

In addition to standardized patients, the facility has two Gaumard manikins; a full body “Hal” CPR and airway simulator with Bluetooth tablet and latex wound kits, and a “Simon” with IV arm, heart and lung sounds kit and latex wound kit.
