Heidi Fanton was an active member of the Penn State Elegance Twirling Club, a committee member of Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, member of Boulevard, and active in the Penn State chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association. She was a presenter for the International Congress of Infant Studies, a recipient of an Evan Pugh Scholar Award, and received an HHD Summer Research grant. Following graduation, Fanton plans to attend graduate school to become a speech-language pathologist where she plans to pursue a career working with children who have complex communication needs in a school setting.
