Meghan Wendelken, who earned her doctorate in communication sciences and disorders at Penn State in 2022, worked with Diane Williams, professor and head of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, to conduct a new study documenting current intervention methods being used when teaching autistic children with little to no functional speech to use augmentative and alternative communication.
