Nathan Zechman
Faculty Spotlight

Nathan Zechman focuses on preparing students to be Pennsylvania-certified in teaching health and physical education or becoming private or corporate fitness professionals.

Prior to a career in education, Zechman served in the United States Marine Corps as an infantryman, including multiple combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Zechman then worked as a health and physical education teacher in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he coached high school track and field and cross country. As a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association he was a strength and conditioning coach at Franklin and Marshall College from 2014-2020.

Zechman completed his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and master’s degree in educational leadership at Penn State. He is currently enrolled in the exercise science Ph.D. program at Concordia University Chicago with a focus on health and human performance.
