Understanding how humans understand speech

New funding from the National Science Foundation will allow research from Penn State’s Communication Sciences and Disorders department and North Carolina A&T State University to collaborate on a new project that will improve automated speech-recognition systems while also increasing the diversity of investigators who study speech sciences.
