A new study, led by Jeannette Rogowski, professor of health policy and administration at Penn State, found that where a very preterm baby is born or receives care immediately after birth can increase or decrease the chance of survival by two percentage points. The team's findings demonstrate potential for quality improvement among the nation’s neonatal intensive care units in health systems.
A new study from researchers in the Penn State Department of Health Policy and Administration including Young-ji Lee, a doctoral candidate in the Department of Health Policy and Administration, and Yubraj Acharya, associate professor of health policy and administration, examined the relationships between married women’s autonomy in making health-related decision for themselves, the presence of community effort in enhancing women’s health, and breast and cervical cancer screening rates in Nepal.
