Biobehavioral Health Graduate Program

The innovative, interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Biobehavioral Health at Penn State examines the intersection of biological, psychological, social, environmental, and cultural influences on health and disease throughout the lifespan.
We provide training in three overlapping, primary training domains as related to health (in addition to statistics and methods, ethics, and professional development). Our students engage with research related to health and wellness, including biology, public health, global health, health psychology, and more.
Much of our work is also relevant to addressing issues related to health disparities. We value diversity and view it as a critical factor in understanding health disparities and advancing both equality and health.
