I am interested in the cultural, environmental and social factors that influence individual and societal-level health; particularly how the arts, especially music, nature, social justice and inequality affect the health of individuals and their communities.

Professional Experience

JoAnn Foley has been teaching at the college level since 1994 and has taught classes ranging in size from 5 students to 170 students. The areas that she most loves to teach about revolve around culture, race/gender inequality, and work/family and their macro-level impacts on individual and community health. Her passion is teaching undergraduates; she is always interested in ways to better understand and educate this age group.
