Welcome to the College of Health and Human Development!

The New Student Orientation (NSO) program, run by Penn State's Office for Student Orientation and Transition Programs, is designed to help you prepare for a successful start at Penn State. You will learn more about the Penn State community, academic and co-curricular expectations and opportunities, and ways to begin meeting your education goals.

All incoming first-year students are required to participate in this program. If you have already accepted your admission offer from Penn State, use the link above to get more information about NSO. During NSO, you will have a chance to meet with our College of Health and Human Development (HHD) advisers and select your first schedule of classes.

NSO is optional for transfer students who have earned 18 or more credits at another institution. Information for transfer students is also available on the NSO site.

Current Penn State students who are changing from another Penn State campus to University Park can find more information at Change of Campus.
