Penn State's central offices provide support and guidance to ensure that research is conducted safely, ethically, within budget, and within grantor guidelines

  • Controller's Office - responsible for establishing and enforcing guidelines and controls established for receiving and expending funds
  • Office for Research Protections - responsible for research ethics and compliance. They work with researchers to maintain the integrity of Penn State research
  • Office of Sponsored Programs - provides central coordination and oversight of Penn State sponsored projects. This includes processing proposals and negotiating resultant grants, contracts, and other agreements.
  • Office of the Bursar - provides financial administration for the entire University
  • Research Accounting - invoices sponsored projects in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner
  • Office of Technology Transfer - connects researchers and inventors with entrepreneurs and industry to scale groundbreaking technologies benefiting people and communities around the globe
  • Travel Services -  provides information and contacts for travel including forms, reservations, and reimbursements
