Research Interests

Weimiao is interested in the cognitive processes underlying language difficulties in developmental language disorder, and in how computational methods can characterize those difficulties at a fine-grained level. Her longer-term goal is to help develop interpretable, clinically grounded speech and language assessment tools that make the evaluation of children with DLD more precise and individualized.
