Before Jia-Hao came to Penn State, his previous studies included Superior Motor Competence in ADHD children and its association with neurocognitive development. He also explored the effect of exercise on the cognitive function of individuals with intellectual disabilities. In addition, the two SCI/SSCI Q1 journal papers in which he is the first author focus on the effects of a single session of sensory-motor rhythm neurofeedback training on improving the sports performance of professional golfers. Out of academics, Jia-Hao was a track and field athlete in the past; he won Taiwan's National Athletics Championships men's 4X100M relay seventh place in 2020 and eighth place in the men's 4X100M relay in the 2019 National Games in Taiwan, 2019.
