Interests

Kaitlin is interested in how context influences early childhood development, specifically thinking about parenting as a primary early context. She cares about how both macro-level (e.g. SES, policies, household chaos, larger systems), as well as individual indicators (e.g. parental depressive and anxiety symptoms, parental posttraumatic stress symptoms, sleep) influence family development. Her research touches on both prevention and intervention work and the family systems framework.
