Alicia joined the CCOR team in October 2022. She received her B.S. in Dietetics from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her M.S. in Food, Family, and Community Health Sciences with a focus on Sustainable Food Systems from Montana State University. Her previous research includes ingestive eating behaviors, food waste reduction methods and sensory evaluation of food and beverages. Her primary role includes managing the implementation of CCOR’s outreach programs for low-income families under our annual PA SNAP Education funding. Outreach responsibilities include developing and maintaining partnerships with local community agencies where we offer services and implement research projects; planning and coordinating outreach activities held at community partner sites; assisting with the development CCOR’s annual SNAP Ed funding proposal; performing administrative tasks related to the grant such as data quality assurance and quarterly reporting; conducting research evaluations; training and supervising CCOR nutrition educators, wage-payroll employees; representing CCOR at community partner sites and events; presenting on the program or projects; and attending CCOR staff meetings and statewide SNAP Ed- meetings and trainings.
