Currently, I am planning and conducting prospective individual participant data (IPD) meta-analyses using data from maternal trials of balanced energy-protein (BEP) supplementation. The participating trials are in South Asia and Africa. This work is funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
My interest is in maternal and child health nutrition specifically understanding ways to improve macronutrient or micronutrient deficiencies (primarily iron deficiency with/out anemia) in food insecure settings. Additionally, I am interested in understanding the impact of micronutrient deficiencies in the brain in women of reproductive age and children.
