Research Interests

Nicole's research interests include teaching literacy, specifically writing skills to individuals who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Her research will include creating and implementing effective curriculums to enhance independence and opportunities for students who use AAC. The research will be used to create literacy standards for students who use AAC and trainings for professionals and administration that will allow for acceptance from administration to endorse the use of literacy curriculums.
