Research Interests

The primary aim of Savanna's research is to improve outcomes and quality of life for individuals with complex communication needs (i.e., insufficient speech to meet daily needs) and multiple disabilities. Specifically, her research focuses on enhancing intervention (including language development and literacy), advancing access to appropriate augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) resources, and refining service delivery models to build capacity.
