Nutritional Services
Nutrition staff skills and support services for protocols include:
- Nutrition counseling (design nutrition interventions and provide individual and group counseling)
- Dietary analysis (determine appropriate methodology for analysis, instruct participants on diet records and perform computerized dietary analyses)
- Metabolic Kitchen (design, validate, produce and deliver diets for controlled feeding studies including weighed metabolic or constant diets)
- Pre- and Post-procedure meals and snacks and a “house diet” for subjects in the CRC for procedures through meal times
The CRC staff works with investigators on an individual basis to ensure that the services provided are effective and efficient. CRC Nutrition Equipment and Facilities
- Fully equipped metabolic kitchen and food storage area
- Dining area that can serve up to 20 research participants
- Private rooms for individual and group nutrition counseling sessions
