Research Expertise
With a proven track record of high-profile research and scholarship, Penn State’s Health Policy and Administration (HPA) faculty represent a strong interdisciplinary team with expertise in diverse areas — all focused on redesigning health systems to empower individuals and families for better health, increased service quality, and more efficient and cost-effective health maintenance.
Our faculty members and students collaborate with others through many vibrant research centers and consortia at Penn State, including:
Key projects representing our areas of expertise include Dennis Scanlon’s Robert Wood Johnson Study; Jeah Jung’s Medicare data work; Patricia Miranda-Hartsuff (health disparities work), and Joel Segel’s cancer research, which bridges HPA and the Penn State Cancer Institute.
