Student Research

Students in Penn State’s Health Policy and Administration graduate program have a truly unique opportunity to work with world-renowned researchers and faculty members in an active research environment.
As a graduate student, you’ll gain firsthand experience in conducting groundbreaking research, working with participants, collecting data, conducting data analyses, publishing papers, and presenting your findings at academic conferences. Working alongside faculty mentors, you’ll apply approaches from health economics, health management, and population health to three critical areas:

Reducing health disparities and improving preventive and chronic care systems for vulnerable populations

Creating financial incentives and information for health systems improvement

Addressing workforce and management challenges in health care organizations
In keeping with our innovative and interdisciplinary mission in Health Policy and Administration, the research possibilities open to you are extensive and diverse.
