Current tuition information is available at tuition.psu.edu.
To utilize the tuition and college cost calculator, you will need to indicate:
- Residency status
- Program: Master's
- Campus of enrollment: University Park
- College: Health and Human Development
- Major: Communication Sciences and Disorders
Students who need assistance from the U.S. Department of Education to pay for classes should plan to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Explore the types of aid available to graduate students on the Student Aid website.
Departmental graduate assistantships and scholarships
All students admitted to our program are automatically considered for graduate assistantships and scholarships. No additional application is necessary.
Graduate assistantships cover tuition, a monthly stipend, and health insurance. Students on assistantship will be assigned to a research lab for 20 hours of work per week. Graduate assistantships are guaranteed for one year.
Additionally, we have a few scholarships that we award to incoming students. Scholarship awards are added directly to your student account to help defer the cost of tuition, books, etc. They do not require any work.
We will inform you if you are selected for GA and/or scholarship funding as soon as these awards are determined to help you make your decision.
Wage payroll
Through the wage payroll program students may work an average of 10-15 hours per week assisting a faculty member with their teaching and/or research needs. The current pay rate is $15/hour.
These positions do not include tuition or health insurance.
To be considered for a wage payroll position, please email gradCSD@psu.edu.
