Franco Harris – 1950-2022

The College of Health and Human Development community is saddened to learn of the passing of Franco Harris ’72 FS HA. Although best known for his career in the NFL, the college is proud of his many accomplishments both on and off the field. Franco was a Penn State Distinguished Alumni awardee (1982), a Penn State Hotel & Restaurant Society (PSHRS) Alumni of the Year awardee (2001), and a Penn State Alumni Fellow awardee (2005). He also served as a Conti Visiting Professor in the School of Hospitality Management (2009). Sincere condolences go out to the entire Harris family.
