Internships
The PGA Professional Golf Management internship program provides an excellent opportunity to connect and network with members of the PGA of America and beyond.
After completing all sixteen months of internships, students often have many options for full-time employment upon graduation from Penn State, which leads to a robust post-graduation employment rate.
In addition to “green grass” facilities, internship opportunities are available in areas such as tournament operations, golf instruction, sales and marketing within the industry, and with the PGA Tour and other golf organizations. The faculty and staff work closely with you to select the best opportunity in the United States and internationally.
You will complete a total of five semesters of internships in order to fulfill the program's sixteen months of internship experience requirement. All five internships are credit-based classes, in which you will complete assignments in the PGA of America’s education program to supplement and enhance your learning experience. The internship program consists of fourteen credits in total.
Internship Request
If you are a PGA Professional and wish to have a Penn State PGA PGM student intern with your facility, please complete an Internship Request Form.
