Professional Snowsports Management
Earning your Snowsports Management certificate, you will gain knowledge and skills that will enhance your ability to teach all skill levels of snowsports and manage people and programs in the snowsports industry.
As a part of the certificate, you will prepare for, and attend at least one module of your PSIA-AASI Level III certification assessment in alpine skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing, or cross-country skiing. You will also develop practical and theoretical knowledge of marketing principles in general, recreation, and tourism settings. Supporting your growth as a manager in the industry, you will select from a list of approved courses from the College of Health and Human Development, allowing you to explore your specific interests in more detail.

At the end of the certificate students will be able to:
- Demonstrate their ability to teach all levels of experience and expertise in any terrain in a snowsports discipline of their choice
- Articulate their knowledge and application of teaching, technical and people skills and their ability to educate others in these areas
- Explain the role of Interski in the overall governance of snowsports globally and their role in sharing good practices between countries
- Explain marketing strategies that promote participation in snowsports balancing the need to promote participation and accessibility and business models
- Investigate and relate further fields of knowledge to their practice through a supporting course and articulate their plans for ongoing learning and development
