Admissions agreements with Graduate Allied Health Programs

Penn State Kinesiology has established admissions agreements with several programs that offer priority consideration for our students. These programs present our students with the chance to apply and be considered for admittance with a specific set of criteria. Details on each admission agreements are presented below. 

Tufts University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

Tufts University has an accelerated hybrid model for their Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, housed in the Tufts University School of Medicine. Campuses are located in Boston, Phoenix, and Seattle. More information about their program can be found here. For specific questions about the program please contact Samantha Rhuda, samantha.rhuda@tufts.edu.

This agreement with Tufts provides 10 seats for Penn State Kinesiology students. Specific admissions criteria can be found here. Students interested in being considered for this program need to notify Dr. Melissa Bopp (mjb73@psu.edu) by September 15th of the admission season. 

Saint Francis University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

Saint Francis University’s DPT program is located in Loretto, PA. More information about their program can be found here. For specific questions about the program please contact Traci Wanyo, twanyo@francis.edu.

This agreement with SFU provides 3 seats for Penn State Kinesiology students. Specific admissions criteria can be found here. Students interested in being considered for this program need to notify Dr. Melissa Bopp by July 1st of the admission season.  

Widner University Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Occupational Therapy and Physician’s Assistant Programs

Widner University is located in Chester, PA and has doctorate of physical therapy, doctorate of occupational therapy, and physician’s assistant graduate programs. For specific questions about these programs please contact Jane Oeffner jkoeffner@widener.edu.

This preferred admissions agreement with Widner University (with Kinesiology and Biobehavioral Health) provides seats for our students across these programs (DPT: 5, DOT: 5, PA: 5). Specific admissions criteria are noted here for all three programs (click here). Students interested in being considered for this program need to notify Dr. Melissa Bopp by July 1st of the admission season.
