Suggested Academic Plans
Suggested Academic Plans are eight-semester guides students can use to meet degree requirements. It is important to keep in mind that these plans show only one way to move through degree requirements. Your Individualized Academic Plan (IAP) may not be the same as the suggested academic plan.
Student Individualized Academic Plans depend on some or all of the following:
- placement test results (ALEKS)
- transfer credits
- change of intended major
- participation in special programs such as education abroad
- leave of absence
- repeating courses
- attending summer sessions
The Individualized Academic Plan (IAP) Worksheet provides a framework for students to customize their plans.
Students can visit the University Bulletin for Suggested Academic Plans for each major.
Both the University Bulletin University Course Descriptions and Schedule of Courses or Class Search include prerequisites and concurrent courses.
Students should follow the edition of the Bulletin that is active on their first day of class at the University. Past versions can be found on the Archive page.
