KINES 495B: Field and/or Research Practicum in Movement Science
KINES 495B is a required course for students in the Fitness Studies and Movement Science options. The department has accommodations for both off-site and on-site practicum experiences.
At least one full semester prior to the beginning of the practicum, procedures and guidelines should be obtained by going to the KINES 495B Internship web pages or by going to the Kinesiology Undergraduate Program Office in 275 Recreation Building. Please refer to KINES Webpages under "Practicum Experiences" and refresh yourself with the KINES 495B timetable for crucial pre-practicum meetings and due dates of the required online application.

On-Site Practicum Experiences
The on-site practicum experiences are supervised by members of the Kinesiology Department research faculty. These research experiences are tailored to the student and faculty interests in conducting research and special projects. The Kines 495B/D application and agreement forms are available KINES 495B Internship web pages or by going to the Kinesiology Undergraduate Program Office in 275 Recreation Building. Students electing the Kines research faculty mentored internship should not schedule Kines 495B section 001. Students should contact a research faculty mentor or the Kinesiology Undergraduate Program Office in 275 Recreation Building.
