Diet Assessment Center - Collaborative Research Services
Collaborative Research Services
The Diet Assessment Center (DAC) is dedicated to providing the highest quality dietary data collection and analysis with over 30 years of collaborative research experience. In addition to dietary data collection, we have expertise developing and validating dietary instruments such as food frequency questionnaires and dietary screeners. The PSDAC faculty and staff work with investigators providing guidance and support for research projects and proposals by
- assisting with proposal writing
- selecting and tailoring the appropriate methodologies
- training research staff and research participants
- conducting dietary recalls or other assessments
- managing data collection using web-based diet assessment tools
- choosing the most suitable diet outcomes and other variables for analysis
- calculating nutrient and food related variables
- providing guidance on dietary data analysis using a variety tools
- project management
- interpreting diet and related data
- assisting with manuscript preparation
