Change of Campus Policy

Students who start at a commonwealth campus are expected to achieve 5th semester standing before changing to University Park. Students should have 59.1 credits completed, in progress and/or enrolled when they submit their request in LionPATH. Students must Update Academics in LionPath (declaring their HHD major) prior to a change of campus request.

Factors considered for an early change of campus can include an inability to make normal degree progress or legitimate academic or personal need to change earlier than the expectation. Clear and compelling reasons and documentation that demonstrates a requirement to change campus locations is required.

If a student's schedule of courses is not consistent with the reason that an early change of campus was approved, the change of campus approval may be rescinded. Housing or leasing contracts are not a consideration for an early change of campus.

Timeline

For a Fall semester start, change of campus requests should be filed in February. For a Spring semester start, requests should be filed in September. If approved, this timeline will allow students the ability to plan for course enrollment at their new campus.
