Med Prep/PA Prep

The Health Professions Advising center provides advising on preparation for medical or PA school, interviewing, personal statements, medical missions, and gap years. Students considering medical, dental, podiatry, and physician assistant professions must attend a Med Prep or PA Prep group advising session prior to meeting one-on-one with PreHealth Advising. Life Hacks

Life Hacks are group workshops to help students manage stress, improve sleep or adjust to college life. All sessions are open to all Penn State students and no appointment is necessary. All sessions are 4:00 to 5:00 pm in 540 Student Health Center. See the full schedule. Upcoming LifeHacks:

Improve your Financial Literacy

As part of Penn State’s ongoing commitment to strengthen student financial literacy, Penn State’s Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center supports students through education and training. If you have questions about managing your student loan, credits cards, taxes or other financial topics, they can help you.

LGBTQ+ Mentor Program

This program pairs graduate students who identify as LGBTQ+ with another LGBTQ+ student at Penn State. Graduate student mentors offer mentees emotional support, assistance setting goals and choosing a career path, and guidance through sexual and gender identity development while encouraging health and wellness through campus and community engagement. The Lion's Pantry

The Lion’s Pantry — located behind the Park Avenue intramural fields — is now offering even more food pick-up options, including an online order form and pop-up pantries across campus. Any student with a valid Penn State ID can use this resource to pick up a range of free nutritious food items, toiletries and more — everything from granola bars to pasta sauce to shampoo — no questions asked. Visit the Lion’s Pantry on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3 to 5 p.m. in between Lion Surplus and the Blue Band Building on Services Road. The campus shuttle runs weekdays until 6 p.m. and drops off at Lion Surplus, which is located across from the pantry. There are also CUB pantries located across campus, and students can submit online orders to be picked up downtown.

Free Wellness Services

Health Promotion and Wellness provides free wellness services with peer educators in the areas of healthy relationships, sleep, nutrition, stress, and more. Schedule a wellness session.
