The Biobehavioral Health program may be the right choice for you if you are interested in the health and medical field. There are many careers available in health where your skills and knowledge could be used.


If you are interested in pursuing a career as a health care provider, the skills and education you have the opportunity to receive as a Biobehavioral Health major are a great fit. You may work as a medical doctor, a physician assistant, a nurse, a physical therapist, or an occupational therapist.

Public Health

This program may be right for those interested in working in research or as a government employee with organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or a state health department. You may help identify health concerns facing a population or research how an epidemic can be averted.

Community Health Promotion

For those interested in the social aspect of health, you may work for a services organization that helps brings health awareness or and best practices to light for others. You may also work to influence policy and public opinion on health issues.

Employee/Corporate Health

If you are interested in helping companies keep their employees healthy, you may work for a corporation to deliver with health promotion and intervention programs to support your employees. Or you may help advocate for patients within a health system or health plan.
